Established in 2006 as a specialised centre for treatment using donated egg cells, it is currently a market leader in the field of infertility treatment. It provides individual and comprehensive treatment including, in addition to assisted reproduction, gynaecological surgery, immunology and genetics. The Clinical and Research Centre for Intestinal Inflammations (IBD) is unique not only in the Czech Republic but also throughout Europe. With the diagnosis of Crohn’s disease or ulcerative colitis, 6,500 patients are treated with biological products in the Czech Republic, of which 1,215, or nearly 20%, are treated by Iscare. In addition to public health insurance, Iscare also conducts clinical studies. Since 2017, the centre has been a part of the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University as a detached workplace for the teaching of students of the 5th and 6th classes, and cooperates with foreign clinics and physicians not only in Europe but also in the USA – the Cleveland Clinic, Pittsburgh (prof. Bo Shen), is involved in the development of new endoscopic methods in intestinal inflammation. As a reference workplace for IBD, since 2012 it has organised over one hundred educational seminars for physicians from all over Europe and organises the European IBD Seminar every year.
