Paul Serhal is an accredited consultant in Reproductive Medicine and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists. He was a Clinical Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at University College London Hospital. His vast experience of male and female infertility has ensured that CRGH is amongst world-class leaders in the pioneering of new techniques, such as pre-implantation genetic diagnosis and the advancement of fertility treatments. Mr Serhal has published more than 100 articles in books and journals and frequently lectures at international conferences.
MUDr. Štěpán Machač, Ph.D. was born in 1970. He graduated from the Palacký University of Medicine in Olomouc. From 1995 – 2003 he worked at the Gynaecology and Obstetrics Clinic of Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at Palacký University Olomouc and started to deal with infertility treatment. In 2006, he obtained a Ph.D. degree, after defending his dissertation on ovarian hyper stimulation syndrome and congenital thrombophilia. In the years 2006 – 2014, he worked at the Reprofit International clinic as the lead IVF physician for foreign patients. Since 2014 he has been acting as a head of the IVF Clinic in Olomouc. In 2018 he was appointed as a Future Life CMO.
He has authored or co-authored more than 30 lectures and 40 articles in professional journals. In his work he focuses mainly on the issue of assisted reproduction, ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome and gamma donation.
Director of Institut Marquès since the 2000’s, she´s member of the Governing Board of Sterility and Infertility Section of the Spanish Society for Gynaecologists, member of the National Commission of the Spanish Ministry of Health for Gamete Donors and member of the National Commission of the Spanish Ministry of Health, responsible of the National Biovigilance System.Degree in Medicine and Surgery, she specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. According to the platform Research Gate, Dr López-Teijón appears among the top 10% of the most relevant researchers in the world. She divides her time between Institut Marquès’s General Management, the consultation and the Research and Development Project Team. Dr López-Teijón has been a pioneer in the study of male fertility and oestrogen disruptors. Also she created the first embryo adoption programme in 2004.
Recognised for her R&D work about the effects of music at the beginning of life: she is developing an important line of research about the effects of the musical micro-vibrations in the incubators during embryo development, thereby increasing the rate of in-vitro-fertilisation by 5%. In this field, she is the lead researcher of the study “Fetal facial expression in response to intravaginal music emission” the most downloaded study in Ultrasound, the journal of the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS). She received the 2017 Ig Nobel Prize in Medicine for this work, the first in Obstetrics in the 27-year history of the prize (Harvard University, September 2017).
She is also the author of the blog “fertility-experiences.com“, with more than 850,000 readers. Her book “I want to get pregnant now!” published in English, Spanish and Italian has become an essential fertility guide.
MUDr. (MD) Ladislav Zgabur is a graduate of the Medical Faculty at Charles University and the Military Medical Research and Training Institute at Jan Purkyně University in Hradec Králové, field of General Medicine. He began working in health care management positions in 1990. He worked as the Administrative Director managing healthcare, the spa industry, and recreation for the Federal Ministry of the Interior of the Czechoslovak Federal Republic until 1992. He was one of the founders of the Health Insurance Company of the Ministry of the Interior and its first health director. Between 1995 and 2002, he acted in management positions at the Ministry of Health of the Czech Republic and at the VZP health insurance company. He began working on many private sector health care projects in 2002, and was chiefly involved in the consolidation of laboratories in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He was also a major participant in the origin and development of the FUTURE LAB (now SYNLAB) Group and the AESKULAB Holding. In 2014, he prepared the FutureLife Group project, which he achieved in close cooperation with the HARTENBERG Company. He is currently involved in specialist management and other acquisitions for the FutureLife Company.
MUDr. David Stejskal founded the Gennet Medical Genetics Centre in 1996, which was supplemented by a reproductive medicine department in 2006. He specialises in prenatal screening for birth defects, prenatal diagnostics and molecular genetics.
MUDr. Radka Jarošová has been a head physician of the IVF programme at Gennet since 2011. She graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. In 2004 she was granted the first attestation in the field of gynaecology and obstetrics.
MUDr. Dagmar Smetanová, CSc., was licensed in 2003 by the Czech Medical Chamber (CMC) as a Head Physician and Senior Consultant in the field of gynaecology, obstetrics and paediatric gynaecology. She is involved in many foreign and domestic publications and presentations.
MUDr. Monika Koudová belongs to one of the leading experts in clinical-genetic counselling and genetic laboratory methods with almost 20 years of experience. She is a CMC licence holder for the position of Head Physician and Senior Consultant in this field. She participates in many foreign and domestic publications and presentations. She is a member of the Society of Medical Genetics of CMC JEP, the Czech Medical Chamber of J.E. Purkyně, the European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) and the American Society of Human Genetics (ASHG).
Ing. Radek Křen, Ph.D., has been involved in research in the field of IVF for a long time, including a study stay in Japan. He regularly participates in domestic and international conferences. He graduated from the Czech University of Life Sciences in Prague and is a certified embryologist.
Dr Otevřel is a graduate of medical faculty of Masaryk University; he was devoted to oncological gynaecology and surgery. His experience has been broadened into the field of assisted reproduction since 2006. After his attestation in 2009, Dr Otevřel has become a head doctor in REPROFIT clinic. He has dedicated his work, especially into the problematic of women’s reproductive ageing.
Dr Hořínová is a highly recognised expert in a field of clinical genetics. She is graduated from the medical faculty of Masaryk University with specialisation in paediatrics. After successful attestation from paediatrics and clinical genetics, Dr Hořínová became the head doctor in the department of genetics in Children’s hospital. In 2002 Dr Hořínová founded a private genetic surgery in Jihlava and she broadened her clinical practice into the field of assisted reproduction. Dr Hořínová is a member of the board of science of the Czech Medical Chamber and thanks to the cooperation with departments of science she participates in many expert and scientific publications.
Soňa Kloudová graduated from the doctoral study program Physiology of animals at Masaryk University. She worked up her dissertation in the Laboratory of Reproductive Biotechnology in the Department of Genetics and Reproduction of Veterinary Research Institute in Brno. Soňa Kloudová has dedicated her work to human-assisted reproduction since 2009. In 2016 she was awarded by certificate ESHRE Clinical Embryologist.
Prof. MUDr. Milan Lukáš, CSc., has published more than 250 professional papers in domestic and foreign journals. He is Chair of the Czech Society of Gastroenterology and Editor-in-Chief of the journal Gastroenterology and Hepatology. He is a member of the International Gastroenterological Association, the European Crohn’s and Colitis Association and the International Organisation for the Study of Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
MUDr. Jan Lacheta graduated from the First Faculty of Medicine at Charles University in Prague, majoring in medicine. After graduation, he worked in the Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics at the General University Hospital and the First Faculty of Medicine of Charles University in Prague. Then he worked in private medical facilities and assisted reproduction centres. He has been working for Iscare since 2014. In 2019 he was board certified in reproduction medicine.
In 2013-2017 MUDr. Karin Černá worked as a senior consultant in the Laboratory of Clinical Immunology and Allergology of the Institute of Medical Biochemistry and Laboratory Diagnostics and the First Faculty of Medicine at the General Teaching Hospital. She is the author or co-author of more than 100 lectures and publications, co-author of seven monographs, and has participated in a number of grant projects. She is a member of the Czech Society of Allergology and Clinical Immunology of CMC JEP.
MUDr. Pavla Vavřincová, CSc., has managed 17 rheumatological international studies in her career and participated in others as a head physician. She has also participated in studies to verify the long-term safety and efficacy of Humira in patients with active juvenile polyarticular idiopathic arthritis.
MUDr. Robert Čáp, Ph.D., has completed a number of specialist stays and internships in clinics of plastic surgery and burns medicine in Prague, Brno, but also in clinics in the Netherlands and Germany. His participation in the SFOR peace mission in Bosnia, where he worked as a physician, was important life and professional experience.
MUDr. Khaled Baker is an experienced doctor with Yemeni roots. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in the Czech Republic and focused on the branch of urology, where he has been working for over 20 years. He is the author or co-author of a number of studies and articles in professional journals.

MUDr. Lenka Rybánska, Ph.D., MPH, completed professional internships abroad in the Czech Republic and Israel, where she gained important experience and knowledge in the field of assisted reproduction. She took a Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) and is Head Physician at Iscare, where she successfully uses her knowledge in treatment.
Dr. Hans Arce studied obstetrics and gynaecology at the renowned Hospital Clínic in Barcelona. He then worked for nine years in one of Barcelona’s leading reproductive clinics, where he participated in the medical and surgical treatment of infertile couples. He headed the international department, was the head physician of this centre and was also the head of the mininvasive surgery department.
